Big Sunday
On Sunday 15 July we began the day with breakfast (a bacon butty) in the Octagon at 8:00 am. After this we split into groups to engage in various workshops. These included:
- music
- breadmaking
- trolley dash (collecting litter)
- making butterfly feeders
The theme of the day was eco-church. Following the workshops there was our morning service.
In the afternoon a group of us enjoyed a walk through Gamlingay Wood, looking particularly at the butterflies, most of which were nectaring on the purple loosestrife. We managing to identify about eleven species in all, including the magnificent silver-washed fritillary. After the walk we cooled off at the nearby pub.
