Rev’d Wendy Wale was a curate in Edgbaston, Birmingham (where she acquired the lovely husband Tom) and then Chaplain of Wadham College, Oxford, where Jonah the therapy dog completed the family.

Before ordination Wendy had a career in primary education that took her to Cambridge, Peterborough, Cameroon and central London. Along the way she trained as a systemic relationship counsellor.

Wendy can usually be found with a mug of tea in her hand and is trying hard to resist too much cake. She’s passionate about hospitality, inclusion and diversity. Tom conveniently works from home, supporting the NHS in workforce planning. He is a keen singer, hitting the low bass notes in any choir he is part of.

In their free time, you’ll find Wendy and Tom walking Jonah, visiting friends or plotting their next travel adventure. Wendy was licensed at Bar Hill in April 2023
